Co-owner Thomas Cotic becomes Chairman of the Advisory Board // The company remains committed to growth
Immenstaad, 9. Januar 2020 – Hans Jürgen Rieder, 54, was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Actico on 1st January 2020. He takes over from Thomas Cotic, the company’s co-owner and founder. Cotic joins the Advisory Board of the international software company based in Immenstaad, Germany.
Thomas Cotic comments on his successor: “We aim to keep growing and consolidate our international presence. In bringing Hans Jürgen Rieder to Immenstaad, we have found exactly the right person to help us achieve this.” Most recently, Rieder was Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the major Swiss bank UBS.
After graduating in business administration at the University of Mannheim, Germany, he began his career at General Motors in 1992. Since then, Rieder has held senior positions at Société Générale, Price Waterhouse Coopers, SAP and ABB. But in the summer of 2019, he decided it was time to join an innovative software company. “At Actico I can draw on my wealth of experience with customers, markets and corporate growth”, says Rieder. The software company specializes in intelligent automation systems and serves customers in more than 35 countries. Its focus is on agility, flexibility, “and a product with massive potential”.
The software firm remains committed to growth – both in Immenstaad and around the globe. Rieder adds: “We are looking to make further inroads in our core market – the financial industry – and also tap into new markets. It’s a fascinating challenge, and Actico’s committed team of experts will be with me every step of the way. I’m excited about working with them.”
Thomas Cotic becomes Chairman of the Advisory Board. The co-founder and co-owner of Actico is passionate about artificial intelligence and software development, and now he is keen to concentrate on developing Actico’s technology. “We’re now competing with some of the world’s top companies. We are looking to consolidate our position, which involves constantly improving our products.” He may no longer be CEO, but this doesn’t mean he is stepping back from the company: “I still have big plans for Actico.”
