Friedrichshafen/Chicago/Singapore, July 24, 2026 – ACTICO today announces new agentic AI capabilities in the ACTICO Decision Management Platform: decision logic now takes shape with the speed and reach of AI, fully under expert control. Credit risk, compliance, and enterprise decision teams describe their requirement in plain language, and AI agents build the decision model directly in the platform, explainable and auditable. Every AI-generated change is reviewed and approved before it goes live.

At the core of the new capabilities is the AI Agent Connector for ACTICO Modeler, the modeling environment of the ACTICO Decision Management Platform. It links the platform directly to the AI tools institutions already use. Teams describe a requirement in plain language, and the connected agent works directly inside the platform: it accesses and edits decision models, generates test cases, and creates documentation. The result is a graphical, readable model, not hidden code. Experts can trace, review, and explain every rule, and they sign off before a change moves from the test environment to production.

The connector is built on MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard that makes the connection LLM-agnostic: Anthropic Claude, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex CLI or any MCP-compatible model. No new AI vendor. No compromise on data sovereignty.

Credit and compliance teams face pressure from two directions. They build new decision models when regulations change or products launch, and they continuously adapt existing models to shifting risk parameters and policies. Both have traditionally taken weeks from requirement to tested, approved, production-ready logic. Regulatory deadlines and market conditions rarely allow that much time. The new capabilities shorten the cycle significantly without skipping a single governance step: in customer and internal benchmarks, executable decision logic took shape up to 65 percent faster, and the effort for test creation and documentation fell by up to 90 percent. Individual results vary depending on the starting point.

AI agents that change decision logic without human approval are not a solution for regulated institutions; they are a new risk. Generic AI tools can write rules, but they cannot govern the decisions those rules make. ACTICO comes at this from the opposite direction: from decision management for banks and insurers, where every decision must be explainable and auditable. The new capabilities add the speed of AI to that core.

Regulated financial decisions need AI that works inside the governance framework, not around it,” said Thomas Knöpfler, Executive Vice President Credit Solutions at ACTICO. “At the same time, we are seeing the reach AI has in complex rule models: in one customer project, the agent found and fixed an error within two minutes that conventional tools had been unable to locate. The AI agent accelerates the work, and the expert remains accountable for every change before it goes live.

What agentic AI delivers for regulated companies:
  • Decision logic from natural language: Teams describe a new policy or a required change in their own words. The AI agent builds the complete model from scratch or proposes targeted changes to data structures, rule flows, and decision tablesfor expert review, then carries out the implementation itself once approved.
  • Model review and improvement: The AI agent analyzes existing decision models in full. It finds logic gaps, inconsistencies, redundant rules, unreachable paths, and divergence between business intent and modeled logic, proposes improvements, and applies them once approved.
  • Automated test generation: The agent creates and enhances test cases, including the boundary values and edge cases that manual testing tends to miss, and tracks test coverage across the entire model.
  • Documentation as part of the workflow: Every change the AI agent makes is captured at the model level and logged in ACTICO Model Hub, along with approval and check-in comments documenting the rationale. The model stays audit-ready from the moment a change is made – no reconstruction needed afterward.
  • Human approval is not an optional safeguard. It is built into the workflow.

The new agentic AI capabilities build on a platform proven in regulated environments: banks, insurers, and financial services providers worldwide use the ACTICO Decision Management Platform to make business-critical decisions in real time and at scale. The platform is also the engine behind the ACTICO solutions for credit decisioning and compliance, so institutions running those solutions benefit from the new agentic AI capabilities as well. In 2026, ACTICO has been recognized a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Decision Intelligence Platforms.

In regulated industries, and especially in financial services, AI must be adopted in the most responsible way: AI proposes, humans decide, and every step is documented. That is what we are building at ACTICO, and that is what our customers can count on.

— Hans Jürgen Rieder, CEO, ACTICO

For ACTICO, today’s release is a first step. The goal is decision systems that monitor portfolio signals, regulatory changes, and market indicators and proactively propose adjustments to the decision logic, with experts approving every change. For regulated industries, that is the only viable path forward.

The new agentic AI capabilities are available with the Modeler Release 9.5 of the ACTICO Decision Management Platform . For more information: www.actico.com

Chartis Research has released its 2025 report AML Transaction Monitoring Solutions, 2025: Quadrant Update. The report offers an updated and expanded view of the AML vendor landscape.

Following a deep dive into ACTICO’s AML software and company capabilities, Chartis has placed ACTICO in the Category Leader Quadrant, recognising it as a major player in the AML space.

Why did ACTICO’s AML solution make it into the Category Leader Quadrant?

Chartis analysts evaluated ACTICO’s AML solution across seven categories and awarded only top-tier scores — placing ACTICO exclusively in the highest bands: “Advanced Capabilities” and “Best-in-Class.”

That’s great news for compliance and IT teams in banks, insurers, and financial service providers: the evaluation confirms the strong functionality, high performance, and flexible implementation options they count on in day-to-day operations.

Best-in-Class for speed, volume and performance

Customers appreciate ACTICO AML for the speed and performance, especially when processing large data volumes — a strength that earned a Best-in-Class rating from the analysts.

Best-in-Class for ACTICO’s AML modeling approach

In all three modeling categories — risk typology modelling, analytical modeling, and model quality & validation — ACTICO was recognised as a vendor with strong and automated AML transaction monitoring.

The software uses rule-based and graphically modelled logic to screen transactions, flag anomalies, and run complex scenarios — delivering precision, transparency, and auditability.

Advanced capabilities for seamless integration and deployment

ACTICO’s AML solution was awarded “Advanced Capabilities” in three key categories: data and system integration, workflow automation, and packaging and deployment. This recognition highlights the strength of its architecture — including robust APIs that integrate with other systems including core banking systems, workflows designed for automation, and AI-readiness across the platform. With flexible deployment options — SaaS, on-premises, or in private cloud environments — the solution adapts to a wide range of IT strategies.

More than technology: Recognition driven by industry trust

Importantly, this assessment goes beyond technical features. It reflects the broader picture of ACTICO’s role in the financial and insurance industry — including the trust and satisfaction of our customers. Their feedback and endorsement contributed significantly to this recognition.

We sincerely thank everyone involved in the evaluation process — especially our customers and partners who shared their experiences with the Chartis analyst team.

Compliance teams demand automation – but where does the real potential lie? FIU reporting shows how automation can relieve manual burden while improving report quality and speed.

Automation where it matters most

Financial institutions and insurers face mounting pressure to report suspicious activities to FIUs and the Swiss MROS. With immediate action required when potential money laundering is detected, many firms struggle to deliver the speed and data quality that goAML demands.

ACTICO is transforming FIU reporting with generative AI – while keeping human expertise in the loop.

ACTICO Head Of Product Management Thomas Suchy

“Many compliance teams still invest enormous manual effort in compiling data and writing STR or SAR narratives,” says Thomas Suchy, ACTICO Head of Product Management. “We’re changing that. Our Generative-AI-driven FIU Reporting Solution prepares complete Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR), with integrated validation and full auditability.”

GenAI with human oversight

ACTICO compliance specialists have always maintained that AI requires clear guardrails. Compliance officers review and approve every dataset before it’s uploaded via goAML.
