How are banks preparing for the instant payment obligation?

In Switzerland, the largest Swiss banks have been required to process instant payments since August 2024. Other institutions are expected to follow by 2026.
When it comes to sanctions list screening, it’s not always straightforward to determine how a payment should be checked. It’s worth taking a closer look at where the so-called screening ban applies—and where it doesn’t.
